In addition to the Friday competition, there will be a model area
open, using a small portion of the new Fort Ancient map.

        This area will give you a chance to visit a small portion
of the terrain that will be used Saturday and Sunday.

        Maps of the model area may be purchased for $2 each.

        Maps will be on sale at:
                Model Area                    0900 to 1200 Friday
                        (look for Joe Scarborough in parking)
                Camp WhipPoorWill      1200 to 1700 Friday
                Camp Swoneky      1900 to 2200 Friday
                        (at Pig VI registration table)

        The model area will be open to orienteers on Friday
from 0900 until dark (about 2000) on Friday, and from dawn
until 0900 on Saturday morning.

        The parking for the model area will be a Public Access lot
on the south side of OH 350 on the east bank of the Little
Miami River.  Pick up your map at Camp WhipPoor Will
first, and then drive to the model area.  Be sure to park in
the public lot closest to the river, NOT in Morgan's Canoe
Livery parking lots.

        There will be no sign-in or out.  You are on your own when
using the model area.  The parking lot closes at dark.

        The Friday meet at Camp WhipPoorWill will use control stands,
bags and punches identical to those for the World Ranking Event.
However, it was mapped by a different mapper and the map
printing is different.  In the model area, you will see two additional
controls and will get an idea of any differences in mapping style.

        Directions to Model Area:
                From Camp WhipPoorWill - Go north on Middlenboro
                Rd. and turn left (west) on OH 350.  Descend steep hill
                with very sharp curves and cross the paved bikeway.
                Turn left into Public Access Lot before the river.
