Miami University and Hueston Woods State Park, Oxford,
Ohio, April 1-3, 2011

Directions:
Friday
Exit I-275 at exit #33, and take US 27 north to
Oxford.
At third light in Oxford, turn right on OH 73.
Descend hill and turn right into large paved parking lot at bottom of hill.
Miami parking permits will not be needed for this parking lot for this afternoon, as long as you park otherwise legally. If you do get a citation, let us know immediately or follow the instructions for visitors printed on the ticket to get it removed.
NOTES for Saturday and Sunday
Hueston Woods surrounds Acton Lake, with 9.8 mile long Main Loop Rd circling
the park. Park speed limit is 25mph and the roads have NO passing zones.
Directions are written to bring you into the park closest to each day's event.
If you use the other entrances, allow extra travel time.
On Sunday, there is a bike race (road bikes) involving 250 racers who will be
circling Main Loop Rd. If you need to get on the road quickly, exit the park
directly from Hedgerow to Camden-College-Corner Rd or the short segment of Main
Loop to Butler-Israel (see map).
Saturday
From Friday site, continue north on US 27 to the center of Oxford.
From the center of Oxford, (High and Main St):
Turn north on OH 732 (Main St)and follow 732 for about
6 miles.
Turn left into park for about 1 mile.
Bear right on Main Loop Rd and follow "orienteering" signs to Hueston
Woods Lodge.
Sunday
From the center of Oxford, (High and Main St):
Continue north on US 27 for 2 miles, to the edge of Oxford.
Just past Wal-Mart on right, turn right on Todd Rd.
Go about 2 miles to end. Turn right on County Line and immediately left on
Butler-Israel.
Continue 1 mile. Watch out for a "sneaky" downhill with very sharp
right turn just after a blind crest.
At stop sign, turn left on Main Loop Rd.
Pass campground entrance and turn left on Hedgerow Rd
Follow Hedgerow 1/4 mile to parking on right.
