The day was pleasantly warm for late November, with temperatures exceeding 60F (16C). Scattered showers overnight gave way to a cloudy, but breezy day. Winds increased throughout the day, bringing violent gusts that brought several large dead ash trees crashing to the ground. Rain fortunately held off throughout the event, with light drizzle starting just as cleanup was completed, giving way within the next hour to torrential downpours.
