Course – Score style, 2 hour time limit
Controls were worth 30 to 90 points each, overtime
penalty of 100 points per minute.
It was a windy evening, but temperatures stayed a
little above freezing, as a dozen of the boldest braved the darkness and dense
vegetation of Camp Timberhill and Rentschler
Forest. Only a few finished within the
time limit. Only Jim Benton found all
controls, but he lost all his points in overtime penalties. Tom Svobodny
retired after losing his compass in dense thickets.
