The early-week forecast of near zero
temperatures and the heavy snowfall early in the week may have discouraged some
from attending. But with a heavy
overcast and temperatures in the twenties, it wasn’t a bad day to run in the
woods (not that it is ever a bad day to run in the woods). In most places the snow was not terribly deep
or difficult although it was deeper on north facing slopes and deeply shaded
areas.
