March 18, 2017     TROL #15 Season Final, Caesar Creek State Park, Waynesville, Ohio
    Miami Valley Junior Championships, Sponsored by Miami Valley Orienteering Club (MVOC). Miami Valley Orienteering Club website
    This will be the TROL 2016-2017 season final event. full range fo courses from white thru red, this will be MVOC's annual "Shamrock Hunt". Starts for Junior O' Championship 9-11, Public courses 11 to 1.

Mar 18-19, 2017    Camp Sherman National Meet, California
    U.S. Trail-O Champs, U.S. Relay Champs, and Middle Distance National Meet. (hosted by Los Angeles Orienteering Club - LAOC) Local event on Tuesday, Mar 21 at famous Vasquez Rocks Park (Spectacular rock formations were the filming site for alien planet scenes in several Star Trek episodes, and various other movies and shows).

    O' In The Oaks National Meet (hosted by Bay Area Orienteering Club - BAOC). Richmond, California. BAOC will also host mid-week training meets on Mar 22-24 at Morgan Territory, Livermore CA.

April 7-9, 2017     Flying Pig XXI, Columbus, Indiana
    The 21st edition of OCIN's annual Flying Pig. South central Indiana.
    Friday: competitor's choice of late afternoon middle distance race or after dark U.S. Night Course Championship, Eagle Creek East, Indianapolis.
    Saturday: early afternoon starts for long distance courses at Yellowwood State Forest, Belmont, Indiana
    Sunday morning: 2-stage sprint in Columbus Indiana. First race will be through the downtown area, the second will be in riverfront parkland.

    OCIN Easter Egg Orienteering, in cooperation with MetroParks of Butler County. Range of courses from white thru green. Special pricing: $3 per child for the Easter Egg course. Other courses will be regular OCIN rates of $7 for members, $10 for non-member, with a $2 discount if you have your own SI timing card. TROL season pass holders free. Thursday evening, start times 5 pm to 7 pm. Event Director Mike Minium
    Easter Egg course for the kids will be an easy on-trail white level course. Kids will find a basket of plastic eggs at each control point. At the finish, turn in your collection of plastic eggs for candy or a toy.
    MetroParks of Butler County motor vehicle permit is required for this event. Free for Butler County residents with valid ID. $5 daily or $10 annual for non-residents. Permits will be available at the event.

August 3-6     U.S. ARDF Championships, Cincinnati
    OCIN and the OH-KY-IN Amateur Radio Club will host the national ARDF (Amateur Radio Direction Finding) Championships. Four days of competitive events will be preceeded by several days of training / practice events during the week before.
