Beginners are always welcome and basic instruction is offered at no charge.
OCIN Events are held rain, shine or snow.     In the event of severe storm or snow emergency, check this site on the morning of event.

July 25, 2015     Skiles-Test Park, Indianapolis, IN
    Indiana Crossroads Orienteering (ICO) event. See ICO website for details.
    Skiles-Test is on the northeast side of Indianapolis, just off I-465. Registartion opens at 9, Starts are open 10-12.

    Orienteering Louisville (OLOU) Summer Sprint Series. See Orienteering Louisville website for details.
    Every Tuesday evening - Start times: 6 pm. Last start at 7:15pm at all locations, with control pickup starting at 7:30pm. $2 for members and juniors, $3 for non-members. Overall ranking will be computed.

Friday, July 31, 2015     Butler County Fair, Hamilton, Ohio
    One or two easy courses through the fairgrounds. Orienteering will be Free. (Probably will be free on black and white map, $1 for color map). You will need to pay regular admission rates to get into the fair. Exhibit and starts will be at teh "Farm Zone" (large building painted to look like a big red barn).
    Starts will be open from 11 am until at least 5 pm, probably until 7 pm. In coperation with MetroParks of Butler County.

August 1, 2015     Camp Stem, Indiana

    Moutain Bike-O and Foot courses.

August 1, 2015     Green Corn Moon Rogaine, Chillicothe, OH
    Not So Fast Adventures (NSF) event. See NSF website for details.
    6 hour day-into-night rogaine. Great Seal State Park. Check-In opens at 4, Mass Start at 6 pm, course closes at Midnight. Pre-register online on NSF website.
   

Aug 1-18, 2015   World Orienteering Championships, Inverness, Scotland
    Great Britain (National Teams Only). In conjunction with the Scottish 6-day, which will have courses open to all.

Saturday, August 8 and August 22, 2015     OCIN-OLOU Summer Sprint Challenge
    August 8 in Louisville (Sawyer State Park) and August 22 in Oxford, Ohio (Miami University). Summer competition between OCIN and OLOU. Two short courses will be offered. Event Fees: $7 for OCIN members, $10 for non members. $2 discount if you own your own SI card.
    We need as many people as possible at both events. Top finishers on each course in each of several age/gender classes will earn points for their respective clubs. Combined team scoring for all 4 races will crown the champion club.

September 18-20, 2015    U.S. Classic Championships
    Bay Area Orienteering Club, Lake Tahoe area on CA/NV border. 3 races including US 2-day Classic Championships. event website. Pre-registration required.

    OCIN hosts a Friday "A" middle distance "A" meet at Big Bone Lick State Park. OLOU hosts Saturday and Sunday "A" races at Taylorsville Lake State Park.
