Beginners are always welcome and basic instruction is offered at no charge.
OCIN Events are held rain, shine or snow.     In the event of severe storm or snow emergency, check this site on the morning of event.

April 25-27, 2014     IOF Event Advisor Clinic, Ottawa, Ontario
    If you are a highly experienced orienteer and course setter and are interested in IOF certification as an Event Advisor, attending an Advisor's Clinic is a necessary step. They are very rarely offered in North America (maybe one every few years). You learn useful information, even if you don';t want to immediately apply to become an Event Advisor. The clinic is part of one day on Sat, April 26.
    Ottawa Orienteering will also host 3 races this weekend: Friday Sprint, Sat morning middle, and Sunday morning long, on terrain that is similar to that for the 2014 North American Championships in October.
    Ottawa OC will provide lodging for out-of-town orienteers. The clinic fee is $60, but it should be possible to get your club or national federation to pay this fee.

April 26-27, 2014     U.S. Relay Champs, U.S. Intercollegiate Champs, and Mason-Dixon Classic "A" Meet, Maryland / Delaware
    Delaware Valley Orienteering Association (DVOA) hosts this weekend with the U.S. Relay Championships at Fair Hill on the Maryland/Pennsylvania/Delaware border and a Classic distance "A" meet on Sunday at White Clay Creek in Delaware. Event information
