Control Pickup assistance:
    Bill Swift and Mike Minium

    A traditional white course was offered.  The longer courses were score-style in a History O' format.  At each control, participants found a card that described a Civil War battle or gave information about a Civil War general.  Participants then had to use this information to figure out the blank spaces on a fictitious diary page.  A few people chose to simply look for controls and not play the history game.
    There was a good attendance from badin High School, with several students doing white, and several others doing a 7-control series of History-O' controls in a sequence assigned by their coach, Pat Meehan.
    Event weather conditions were excellent for mid-November: it was cloudy and breezy, but the temperature climbed above 70 F (21 C).
