Thanks to those who helped including Matthew Robbins for SportIdent Timing and control pickup (3), Caterina Svobodny for control pickup (2), and Iddo and Nitzan Friedberg for providing much needed cups of steaming coffee to Mike and Matthew.
A chilly day, with periods of sleet and light rain.
A couple people reported problems with control 53 on red and orange courses. Apparently the control, which was on a fence corner just outside the edge of a privately owned field, was moved sometime before or during the event. When it was collected on Sunday morning, the control was located about 30 meters SSW of the fence corner along an indistinct game path. A large tree obscured it from view from the corner, which explains why people lost time trying to find it. Also, at the time of control collection, a hunter’s tree stand above the fence corner was occupied by a bow hunter waiting for deer. I’m sure this accounted for the movement of the control.
