The
day was unusually warm for the end of September, mostly sunny with high thin clouds. Courses were on the long side. Nobody chose to try the 6.9 km red course. Attendance at this year’s Hikeathon Plus seemed a bit
lighter than in recent years, despite many exciting exhibits and
activities. Perhaps scheduling the Hikeathon on the same day as a Miami home football game is
an idea that the organizers should endeavor not to repeat?
