This was a very warm day
for December, with temperatures staying above 50F (10C) throughout the
event. But strong breezes made it feel
cooler out in the open fields around the start, finish, and registration
shelter. Skies were variable, with lots
of clouds, a few brief periods of light rain, and a few peeks of sunshine in
the middle of the day. Courses were
challenging to say the least.
Control 47 (the first
control on green, and second on brown) was initially misplaced, causing
problems for some people who either lost time or missed it entirely. The legs into and out of that control have
been voided on the affected courses.
Until January 1, we now have TWO systems to upload, view and share your route. Please try out both of them. Let us know which one you prefer. It will be most useful for comparison if you upload your routes to BOTH systems. Orienteering USA (OUSA) is investigating whether to subsidize a Livelox subscription for all OUSA clubs.
