Temperatures stayed below freezing, although following a cloudy morning, the sun emerged in the afternoon.  Deep snow covered the park.  Although fluffy and not crusted, running or walking through it still added a lot of extra effort.  Our attendance was the lowest so far this season, probably partly due to the thought of running in the cold and deep snow, but more due to the several inches of new snow that fell late the evening before, leaving many of the secondary roads slushy or worse.
