5
groups of 4th grade students from Cincinnati Waldorf learned about
orienteering, and got to try a group “map hike” course at Valley View
Foundation. Due to time constraints
(several cars went to the wrong place and were late getting to the start, then
the group had to leave a half hour earlier than originally anticipated), studfents didn’t have the chance to try any of the
other courses on their own. 23 students
and 5 adults participated.
Controls
were put out in a chilly pre-dawn drizzle, but as the sun rose, the skies
cleared and students were greeted with a crisply chilly, but beautifully sunny
fall day.
