Public is welcome at all events, unless specifically noted in the announcement. Beginners are always welcome and basic instruction is offered at no charge. OCIN Events are held rain, shine, or snow. In the event of severe storm or snow emergency, check this site on the morning of event.

November, 2025 thru March, 2026     OCIN TROL and WARS Season Pass
    Season passes give FREE entry to all league events from November 2025 thru March 2026, plus pre-season events in October!
    TROL (Tristate Regional Orienteering League) pass is for students in grade 12 and younger. Students (including home school) should purchase a TROL pass even if they plan to run adult level WARS courses. The TROL season pass includes a year of membership in OCIN and OUSA. Register now for your 2025-2026 TROL season pass (students in high school or younger)
    WARS (Winter Adventure Running Series) is for adults who are above high school age. Event rankings are based on age. You may also purchase or renew an OCIN annual membership with your WARS pass. Register now for your 2025-2026 WARS season pass (adults above HS age)
    When you register, if you have an Orienteering USA account, the registration system will auto-fill your personal information; if not, select "enter data manually".

Sat, Dec 20, 2025     TROL / WARS Series #6, Hartig Park, KY
    Adventure with a map! New map in Northern Kentucky. Participants get a detailed map and try to locate a series of control points shown on the map. Suitable for all ages, you may compete for the fastest time, or just enjoy a leisurely hike, while using our map to explore the park. There will be six different courses of varying difficulty and length - there is one suitable for every adventurer.
    Courses: white thru red; Start times 11 to 1. We will plan to start control removal at 3.

    Park entry or vehicle permit fees: none. Restroom facilities: Portable toilet. Event Center: roofed but open sided shelter. You may see a "park closed" sign but the park is open exclusively for our group.
    Location: 5660, KY-1992, Warsaw, KY 41095 in Gallatin County, KY. Plan to allow plenty of extra time. Roads to the park are narrow and winding. Allow 25-30 minutes drive time AFTER leaving I-71. Exit I-71 at Exit 72, Walton-Verona. Turn northwest onto KY-14 West for 2.1 miles. Turn left onto US-127 S/US-42 for 6.1 miles. Turn right onto KY-1992 for 6.2 miles (becomes Steels Bottom Rd). This last several miles has some one-lane sections with rough road! The park is closed to other users and open only for orienteers for our event. GPS 38.844681, -84.779626
   

Dec 31, 2025     OCIN New Year's Eve Night Orienteering, Governor Bebb, Okeana, OH
    Governor Bebb Butler County MetroPark. Night Score Orienteering (go in any order) course. Start any time between 6 pm to 9 pm. 2 hour time limit. You must be off the course by 11 pm.
    Recommended for people with prior orienteering experience only. Headlamp or good flashlight required. It is recommended that you carry at least two light sources in case one fails or breaks.
    Price is $10 for Orienteering Cincinnati members, $15 for non-members for groups of 1 to 5 doing a course together. $5 for Youth. Free entry for TROL or WARS pass holders. Please pre-register by Tuesday evening

    New Year's Day - Welcome the New Year with an Adventure, using our detailed map to explore Governor Bebb MetroPark, finding a series of marked checkpoints. Suitable for all ages, you may compete for the fastest time, or just enjoy a leisurely hike. There will be six different courses of varying difficulty and length - there is one suitable for every adventurer.
    Free map and compass instruction for those with no prior orienteering experience. Price is $10 for Orienteering Cincinnati members, $15 for non-members for groups of 1 to 5 doing a course together. $5 for Youth. Starts are open from 11 am to 1 pm.

April 10-12, 2026     OCIN Flying Pig XXVIII, OUSA 2026 Junior Nationals
    . All three races are NRE sanctioned.
    Friday April 10 - Afternoon Middle Distance NRE (National Ranking Event) at Hueston Woods State Park, Oxford, Ohio
    Saturday - Sunday, April 11-12 - - OUSA Junior Nationals - Two-Day Classic at Mounds State Recreation Area, Brookville, Indiana
    Early lodging information and room blocks will be posted soon. Spring weekends in the college town of Oxford, Ohio will be busy. The good news is two new hotels are opening soon in Oxford (Fairfield Inn opens this August, Holiday Inn Express is supposed to open before the Pig)
    Embargo At this time, all parts of Mounds State Recreation Area are embargoed for orienteering events and training, except you may use the campground and beach. You may drive the paved park roads to access the campgrounds, beach and boat ramps.
    Embargo At this time, all parts of Hueston Woods State Park are embargoed for orienteering events and training, except you may use the campground, golf course, marina, beach, lodge, and cabins. You may drive the paved park roads to access the non-embargoed facilities. Please note that the mountain bike, equestrian, and disc golf facilities are embargoed and may not be used prior to the event on April 10.
   

May 31-June 5, 2026     Texas Junior Orienteering Camp, Bridgeport, Texas
    Week-long adventure of orienteering courses, training, competitions and fun, for high school and younger students who are successfully completing orienteering courses at yellow level and above. Selective admission.
   

July 19-26, 2026     Silva O' Camp, Vidnava, Czech Republic
    International orienteering training camp for youth 17 and under.
